GENEVA / GINEBRA – The traditional Lake Parade took place on 13 July with over 50,000 people storming the quais of the city of Geneva.
In a role reversal that left some fellow amateur photographers surprised, I decided to snap shots of the funny, gorgeous, strange, scantily dressed men. I must confess, fellow photographers and some spectators seemed surprised by my choice – it is not often that women are just as aggressive with a camera – but judging by the enthusiastic models, the men like the attention just as much as the girls.
Sometimes it is just nice to turn things around.
PS: Yes, a few girls did make it to my album.
En español
Esta vez decidí hacer una presentación en los dos idiomas de las fotos de la Lake Parade en Ginebra, espero que a los lectores no les moleste la combinación de idiomas en una misma nota. Pero es que después de ver cómo los fotógrafos amateurs tomaban fotos de las mujeres sin vergüenza alguna, decidí darle la vuelta al espejo y tomar fotos de los hombres en el desfile: altos, fornidos, bajitos, mayores, chicos, gays y heteros cayeron por igual en el lente.
¡De vez en cuando cae bien alterar el orden!
